There is a need for public funders to refrain from dictating how money should be spent so nonprofits can properly fill budgetary gaps or prepare for any unforeseen financial setbacks. Mary Kate Bacalao, Director of Public Funding for Larkin Street Youth Services discusses the importance of federal and state budgets prioritizing nonprofits.
 
Collaborating with Youth leaders is a key strategy in ending youth homelessness. In this talk, Rivianna Hyatt of the True Colors Fund offers useful advice for working with young people with lived experience of homelessness.
